ABEMA will broadcast seasons one through three of the hit anime ” My Hero Academia ” for free over three weeks starting Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
“My Hero Academia” (commonly known as “Boku No Hero Academia”) is a hugely popular comic by Kohei Horikoshi that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (published by Shueisha) for 10 years from 2014 to 2024. It is a hero action story set in a world where the existence of people with supernatural abilities called “quirks” is commonplace.
The story follows the protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, commonly known as “Deku,” as he grows up with his friends at U.A. High School, a prestigious school for training heroes, to become a “hero” who protects society and confronts criminals who abuse their “quirks,” known as “villains.”
Fans worldwide have been enthralled by the thrilling drama and fiery battles that Deku and other characters unfold. The comics have sold over 100 million copies worldwide up to the latest volume 41. Various media mixes have also been developed, and the T.V. anime has aired up to the seventh season, with the final season finally scheduled to air in 2025.
In addition, the latest anime movie, My Hero Academia, THE MOVIE: Your Next, was released in August this year and was a huge hit, attracting 2.48 million viewers and earning 3.55 billion yen in box office revenue (as of October 28). The anime My Hero Academia continues to run with incredible enthusiasm.
