It has been announced that the fourth season of the TV anime ” Rent-A-Girlfriend, ” based on the romantic comedy manga by Reiji Miyajima currently being serialized in ” Weekly Shonen Magazine ” (Kodansha), will begin airing on the late-night anime slot “Animeism” on MBS, TBS, and other networks from July 4th. A “date visual” has also been released, featuring one of the heroines, Sakurazawa Sumi, on a train platform adorned with autumn leaves.
Takahashi Rie, who plays Sakurazawa Sumi, commented, “Until now, Sumi-chan has always given her all to be a ‘girlfriend’ and a ‘friend.’ I wonder what Sumi-chan will do this season! No, she doesn’t have to do anything at all as long as she appears. That’s good…! Please watch over Sumi-chan’s performance with a fluffy heart like Sumire (the dog)…♪”
“At the end of each season, I should applaud for the good time we shared, but then I can’t help but want to hear more from here on out. It is entirely thanks to everyone’s support that I can continue to be close to the hearts of these girls as they change. I’ll say it again and again, but thank you so much. Let’s have fun together again in the fourth season! Applause,” she said.
