One scene is blurred out in the anime ” Chainsaw Man,” which is full of violent scenes. It is not a bloody scene, but a kissing scene! It is a traumatic scene in which Denji (voiced by Toya Kikunosuke) is forced to drink vomit from mouth to mouth by a drunk Himeno (voiced by Ise Mariya).
The anime “Chainsaw Man” is based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto, which has sold over 28 million copies. The story begins when Denji, a boy who lives as a devil hunter, is betrayed and killed, but makes a contract with the “Chainsaw Devil” Pochita (CV: Shiori Izawa) and is resurrected as “Chainsaw Man” with a devil’s heart. The first season of the anime will air in 2022, and the production of the movie “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” has already been decided.
Himeno is a devil hunter from the Public Safety Anti-Demon Special Section 4 and is Denji’s senior. When fighting a demon, Himeno whispered to Denji, “If you defeat the demon, I’ll give you a deep kiss.”
In episode 7, a welcome party for recruits from the Public Safety Demon Suppression Division 4 was held at an izakaya. When Denji started to say, ” Um … about the kiss…” Himeno replied, “It’s embarrassing when you’re sober, so I’ll do it when I get more drunk.” Denji was full of hope, but he was forced into a difficult position when Makima (CV: Tomori Kusunoki ), the girl he had a crush on, also came to the party. While he was doing this, a drunk Himeno suddenly kissed him.
“I was seen! Makima saw me!” Denji thought to himself, but he was ecstatic about their intense first kiss. However, something felt off. “It’s melting in my mouth! It’s not my tongue!?” he realized, but it was too late. Himeno was vomiting while kissing Denji. In the anime Chainsaw Man, which contains many extreme depictions such as bloodshed, this kissing scene, which is sure to be traumatic, was the only one that was blurred.
“Chainsaw Man” has been a hot topic because it has a different ending theme for each episode, and the ending theme for episode 7 is “Chu, Diversity” by ano. It has become a hit song that transcends the boundaries of anime, even appearing on the ” NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen” (NHK Red and White Song Battle), so there are probably many people who have heard the song without knowing much about “Chainsaw Man.” If you watch episode 7, you’ll understand, “Oh, that’s what ‘Gerochu’ means…”
