“Given the Sea” is set to be released on September 20th!
“Given” is a unique BL story that delves into the youth of the rock band “Given,” starting with the fateful meeting of Sato Mafuyu, who possesses an extraordinary singing voice, and Uenoyama Ritsuka, whose guitar skills surpass those of a typical high school student.

Initially serialized in “Cheri+” by the talented Kizu Natsuki, the series made history as the first BL comic to be animated on ” Noitamina .” The release of “Given the Movie” in 2020, which beautifully portrayed the love story of Nakayama Haruki, Kaji Akihiko, and Murata Uzuki, was a monumental success, topping the mini-theater rankings for five consecutive weeks.

In January of this year, “Given the Movie: Hiiragi Mix,” which focuses on the story of Kashima Hiiragi and Yagi Jun, Mafuyu’s childhood friends, was released (the first part of a two-part movie series). It was ranked first in the “First Day Satisfaction Ranking” on Filmarks, and the phrase “Okawari Given” appeared on social media. It was so well received that repeat customers continued to come.

The release date for the second part of the two-part film series, “Given: To the Sea,” has been set for Friday, September 20th. The title of this film, “To the Sea,” was unveiled with the official trailer and poster visual on “Marine Day” on July 15th, sparking anticipation and excitement among fans.

In the last scene of the first part, “Given: Hiiragi Mix,” Mafuyu mutters, “Huh, since when did I stop singing? How did I sing?” The poster visual depicts Mafuyu with a slightly lowered expression, which suggests what will happen afterward, and Tachika, Haruki, and Akihiko are standing as if waiting for Mafuyu. Meanwhile, in the streets of Shibuya, there are giant advertisements for Hiiragi and Kazusumi of the band “Syh,” who have already made their major debut, and professional violinist Amezuki, contrasting them with Mafuyu, who stands still. What kind of future will Mafuyu, Tachika, Haruki, and Akihiko, who work together as “Given,” each have? The visuals leave you wondering what the ending will be.
