The original manga by Kotoyama, which began serialization in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” (published by Shogakukan) in 2019 and was completed in January of this year, is a famous work with a cumulative circulation of over 5 million copies (including electronic copies). The first season of the TV anime aired in 2022 with 13 episodes.

In addition to the lead actors Sato and Amamiya, the cast includes Yumiri Hanamori as Akira Asai, Haruka Tomatsu as Seri Kikyo, Eri Kitamura as Niko Hirata, Shizuka Ito as Honda Cabra, Naomi Ozora as Midori Koshige, and Hatsuka Osaka as Azumi Waki, Kensho Ono, who plays Yuu Mahiru, Hiroyuki Yoshino, who plays Akito Akiyama, and Miyuki Sawashiro, who plays Anko Uguisara, will be returning from the first season. The teaser visual illustrates a shepherdess and red bean paste drawn back to back, and in the background is a richly colored night sky reminiscent of the first season’s teaser visual. The visual release PV features Nazuna (Amemiya) announcing, The night isn’t over yet,” as the first season’s ending theme song, Yofukashi no Uta ” by “Creepy Nuts” plays.
