“Nidiga,” or “NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE,” is a multi-ending adventure that follows the 30 days of a girl with a strong desire for approval as she strives to become the best streamer, and her supportive friend, “Pi.” Released on Steam by WSS playground in January 2022, the game has racked up 3 million downloads. Related music has been played over 400 million times, making it a representative indie game of internet culture. In April 2026, “Chou Ten-chan,” a girl who became a ray of light illuminating the chaotic Reiwa era internet, will make her TV anime debut.
The animation will be produced by Yostar Pictures, the studio behind “Arknights” and “Blue Archive.” Masaoki Nakajima, a Yostar Pictures director who has worked on storyboarding and directing for “Blue Archive” and “New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT,” as well as the short anime “NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE,” will direct the anime, creating a unique story and characters.
The second key visual released this time features “Chou Ten-chan.” Seeing “Chou Ten-chan” performing on stage only heightens anticipation for the main story. In preparation for the anime’s April launch, work requests for “Chou Ten-chan” are now being accepted.
