The second season of the TV anime Sentai Daishikkaku will be broadcast on CBC and TBS every Sunday at 11:30 pm starting in April 2025. The latest PV and teaser visuals have also been released.
This work is an anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by Haruba Negi (serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine). In the first season, which aired this spring, the battle between the monsters and the Great Sentai for survival was actually a farce. The story was told by the protagonist, Combatant D, a low-ranking combatant of the Dusters who vowed to defeat the Great Sentai and infiltrated the Great Sentai in earnest.
The second season teaser is an excellent visual with a dark atmosphere, a stark change from the previous season. The intense gazes of Combatant D (CV: Kobayashi Yusuke), who has a quiet fighting spirit, and Sakurama Hibiki (CV: Kajita Daiji), who has disappeared, are impressively depicted, making you feel that the developments in the second season are ominous.
In addition, a new story for the second season has also been released. Combatant D, a low-ranking member of the evil monster army, vowed to “defeat the Great Sentai” to end his life of repeated defeats. D, disguised as Sakurama Hibiki, successfully passed the entrance exam. He begins his full-scale infiltration into the Great Sentai. Although he is thwarted by the monster executive Pertorola, he defeats the Blue Keeper. D is assigned to the Green Unit, which carries out top-secret missions. Of course, his next target is the Green Keeper.
Meanwhile, doubts are rife within the Great Sentai after the Blue Keeper’s loss, and the general public’s trust is gradually declining. The 2nd season, in which the darkness of the Great Sentai is approaching, finally begins.
The latest PV gives a sense of ominousness as each individual’s intentions are stirred up. Still, it also hints at a counterattack by Combatant D. After the shocking end of the 1st season, what will happen to the Dragon Keepers after the death of the Blue Keeper? Combatant D, who has thoroughly infiltrated the team, has the upper hand. The 2nd season of the TV anime “Sentai Daishikkaku” will be broadcast every Sunday at 11:30 pm on CBC and TBS from April 2025.
