The manga “Dr. STONE” (Original: Riichiro Inagaki, Drawing: Boichi) has reached its final episode in the March 21 issue of the manga magazine “Weekly Shonen Jump” released today on March 7. The subtitle of the final episode is “Dr. STONE”, and the history has come to an end at the turning point of the 5th anniversary from the start of the serialization on March 6, 2017.

“Dr. STONE” is set in the “Stone World” where all human beings in the world have become stones and civilization has been destroyed by a mysterious phenomenon, and the main character, Senku Ishigami, and his childhood friend, Daiki Oki A sci-fi survival manga depicting the creation of civilization from scratch with the power of science.

The story of running up 2 million years of science history from the Stone Age to modern civilization by crafting such as fire, iron, electricity, glass, and mobile phones became a big topic, and the cumulative circulation of the series exceeded 12 million. It has also been made into TV animation, and in the summer of 2022, the TV special “Dr. STONE Ryusui”, which depicts the subsequent episodes of the second period of the animation, is scheduled to be broadcast, and in 2023, the third period of the animation will be broadcast.
