by The second season of the TV anime series ” Saga of Tanya the Evil, ” titled “Saga of Tanya the Evil II,” is scheduled to air in 2026. A new teaser visual and teaser PV have also been released.
“The Saga of Tanya the Evil” is an alternate-world story about a rational, elite office worker who is reincarnated as a young girl named Tanya Degurechaff (voiced by Aoi Yuki) and rises to the battlefield as an imperial sorcery officer.
The series has sold over 10 million copies in total, and with the first season of the anime aired in 2017 and the movie released in 2019, the second season is currently in production.
The newly released teaser visual depicts Tanya playing a burning piano. The teaser PV begins with a propaganda video celebrating the Empire’s victory, then shows flashbacks triggered by Existence X, with Tanya struggling to resist it.
To coincide with the release of the information, a surprise project was also carried out at GiGO Vision Ikebukuro in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, including the simultaneous release of a promotional video and the guerrilla distribution of a “war report newspaper.”
Takayuki Yamamoto has been appointed as the new director for the second season. He commented, “I am extremely honored to be involved in the production of The Saga of Tanya the Evil. We are currently working hard with our wonderful staff, so please wait for a little while longer!”
To commemorate the release of information about the second season, ABEMA is currently streaming all episodes of the first season for free for a limited time.
