A countdown visual was released on the official website X to commemorate the release of “Jujutsu Kaisen: The Movie Compilation—The Ballad of the Jewel” (May 30th).
X announced, “There are 24 days left until the release of the movie compilation,” and posted a visual depicting Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru in their high school days. Fans responded with comments such as, “It’s going to change what should have been an everyday scene.” “Can we expect new scenes in the movie?” and “The pictures are too good every day.”
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a dark fantasy where the protagonist, Yuji Itadori, steps into a world of battles surrounding curses after a powerful “cursed object” is unsealed. The original manga was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from March 2018 to September 2024, and the comics have sold over 100 million copies.
The TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021 and gained popularity. A theatrical anime was released in December 2021, and the second season aired from July to December 2023. A sequel, “Jujutsu Kaisen: Death and Retribution,” has been decided to be produced.
“Jujutsu Kaisen The Movie Compilation: The Jewel of Fortune and the Golden Ball of Fortune” will be broadcast in July 2023 in five episodes and is a special compilation of the second season of the TV series, depicting Gojo Satoru and Geto Suguru’s past during their time at the technical college.
