Tokyo Tower x FM EVA 30.0 Special Illumination (Feb 21, 2026)

On Saturday, February 21, Tokyo Tower will be illuminated in the colors of Unit-01 from sunset until midnight, creating a dramatic skyline tribute to the series.

All visitors to the Main Deck (150m) that day will receive a non-sale original “FM EVA 30.0 x Tokyo Tower” sticker (while supplies last). Distribution runs from 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM (last entry).

What Is “FM EVA 30.0”?

“FM EVA 30.0” is the first regular radio program dedicated to the Evangelion series. It airs weekly on 38 JFN stations nationwide, including TOKYO FM.

The program’s main visual—Unit-01 towering over Tokyo Tower at night—sparked the collaboration concept.

Upcoming Highlight:

On February 14, director Kazuya Tsurumaki (director of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time) will appear as a guest, sharing behind-the-scenes production stories from the Evangelion films.

Limited Collaboration Merchandise

Starting February 21, exclusive goods will be available at TOKYO TOWER OFFICIAL SHOP GALAXY (3F, Foot Town), including:

  • T-shirts featuring Unit-01 illuminated over Tokyo Tower
  • Radio collaboration visual merchandise
  • Limited anniversary collectibles

These items are expected to be highly sought after, especially during the festival weekend.

A Brief Look at Evangelion’s Legacy

The franchise began with the groundbreaking TV anime Neon Genesis Evangelion, which became a cultural phenomenon upon its 1995 debut.

In 2007, creator Hideaki Anno relaunched the story as the Rebuild of Evangelion film series:

  • Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone
  • Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance
  • Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo
  • Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time

The final installment grossed over ¥10.28 billion and drew more than 6.7 million viewers, proving the enduring global appeal of the franchise.

Even after its cinematic conclusion, Evangelion continues to thrive through collaborations, merchandise, exhibitions, and anniversary projects worldwide.
