The story begins when Genma Saotome, the father, and his son Ranma, who had been training in China, come to the Tendo family. However, it appears there is a giant panda and a cute girl. After training in China, Ranma develops a strange constitution that causes him to turn into a woman when splashed with water and back into a man when splashed with hot water.
Ranma and his friends get involved with the unique people around them, and they cry, laugh, and sometimes fall in love. In episode 11, Shampoo, who lost to the man Ranma, courts Ranma to make him her husband by the rules of the female warrior tribe.
Ranma is shocked by Shampoo’s sudden change in attitude, but Akane declares that she is breaking off her engagement. Shampoo then visits Ranma daily, giving his love rival the kiss of death and challenging her to a duel. Ranma desperately searches for Akane, who has disappeared.
