Four different images, all with the ring motif, show illuminated rings floating in Osaka Bay. The catchphrase is “Towards all life and an exciting future.” The images will be displayed as posters and digital signage (electronic billboards) in stations and commercial facilities nationwide starting in the middle of this month.
The video features Myakumyaku and the popular character Hello Kitty and aims to promote the appeal of the Expo. It is planned to be distributed on social media.
The Miyakumyaku anime will be broadcast nationwide on NHK from 11:45 pm on March 3rd to 6th. The title is “Hi! It’s Miyakumyaku.” There are eight episodes, each two minutes long, with two episodes daily. The story is set in a town where Miyakumyaku, born 3.5 billion years ago, wants to talk to someone about “life” and “the future of the Earth.”
On the 10th, the Expo Association held a momentum-building committee in Osaka City, consisting of the heads of economic organizations. In response to the fact that advance ticket sales had remained at about 7.74 million (as of the 5th) against the target of 14 million, the committee confirmed a plan to bring forward the PR focus period, which was scheduled for March, by one month.
The “same-day tickets” system that Prime Minister Ishiba announced would be introduced was also discussed. After the meeting, Masayoshi Matsumoto, chairman of the Kansai Economic Federation and chairman of the committee, said, “We’re doing everything we can to sell tickets. We’re taking all sorts of measures, and as the opening draws near, everyone will want to go.”
