It has been decided that the anime adaptation of Debata Yudai’s outdoor manga ” Futari Solo Camp ” will start airing on TOKYO MX and other stations in July, and it has been revealed that Hamano Daiki and Nizaki Mizuki will star in the series. The central staff, teaser PV, and key visuals have also been released.
The original work, currently being serialized in Morning (published by Kodansha), is popular and has sold over 3 million copies. Kinokura Gen, a solo camper who loves solitude, enjoyed solo camping as usual when he unexpectedly encountered Kusano Shizuku, a beginner camper. The two ended up solo camping together.
A live-action drama starring Morisaki Win and Honda Miyu will air on TOKYO MX from January 9th. Hamano will play Gen, a 34-year-old solo camper who enjoys leisure time in nature. In contrast, Shinzaki will play Shizuku, a 20-year-old junior college student who meets Gen by chance and applies to become his apprentice, proposing a “two-person solo camp.”
The central staff is a reunion of the members who worked on the “Kawaiisugi Crisis.” Under Jun Hatori’s direction, Aya Satsuki will handle the script and series composition, and SynergySP will produce the animation. Tomomi Shimazaki, who worked on “Kyukyu no Warumono-san, ” will handle character design. The teaser PV includes a voice recording of the scene where Gen and Shizuku meet.
The teaser key visual shows them setting up a tent and enjoying the magnificent nature. In addition, Debata-san has also provided an illustration commemorating the anime adaptation, depicting Shizuku and Gen celebrating the adaptation. The cast’s comments are as follows. [Hamano Daiki (as Kinokura Gen)] This is Hamano Daiki, who plays Kinokura Gen. As his name suggests, Gen-san is stubborn.
Although he is not good at interpersonal relationships, he is more passionate than most about camping and has strong preferences. To play him, I tried to portray a charming man who lives for his hobbies and romance while being a bit old-fashioned and conscious of the “Showa era dad” feel. I love people who are straightforward and passionate about something, so it was fun to play Gen-san. My memories of camping are camping at Mt. Tsukuba as part of a school event in junior high school… and survival camping in the Blue Mountains in high school living in Sydney… although I didn’t go camping solo, both are memorable.
At Mt. Tsukuba, all the students in my grade gathered around a campfire, performed shows, and had a great time. We also brought our food, tableware, and camping kits to the high school camp for five days, decided the route from the start to the destination, and survived. Both are very fond memories. Since many scenes have few characters, I approached the dubbing intimately, like a family.
Starting with Shimura-san from NA and Shiro-san from the dialect coaching department, everyone is having fun saying things like “I want to do this kind of camping” and “I want to eat this kind of food.” Still, with every word they say, they also take the work and their acting very seriously. It’s just so much fun! Fans of “Futari Solo Camp”… and camping lovers, I believe you will enjoy this work, which is based on the theme of camping, which is not easy to understand. Camping is the best. Watch this work, cook, and enjoy camping. And when we meet at a campsite someday… let’s go on a solo camping trip together! [Mizuki Shinzaki (role of Shizuku Kusano)] Nice to meet you.
I’m Mizuki Shinzaki, who plays Shizuku Kusano. What does “Futari Solo Camp” mean!? Didn’t you wonder? Me too. I found out about the work because I was attracted to the title during the audition, and I was very excited to think, “I can enjoy camping and cooking knowledge all at once!” I’m indoors and have never been camping, so I will learn the knowledge and tips about camping together with Shizuku. Shizuku can be forceful, but she’s also hardworking and honest. So, I tried to show all the honesty I have inside me. I hope you enjoy watching Shizuku grow through the series.
Also, the Nagasaki dialect that appears frequently is one of Shizuku’s cute points, so I studied it a lot. Please look forward to it! This is my first time as a regular in an anime. I’m nervous every time I participate in the recording, but like Shizuku and Gen-san, I’m growing every day with the advice I get from Hamano-san. I hope the atmosphere of these “Futari Solo Camp” reaches everyone. Let’s enjoy Futari Solo Camp, where you can enjoy camping and gourmet food!
