Miwa’s Unexpected Valuation in Chapter 258 of Jujutsu Kaisen

The fierce Shinjuku Showdown in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 258 seemed to be coming to a head as Sukuna used all of his might against Yuji and the other sorcerers in the battleground. Sukuna made the decision to go all out in chapter 258 following a heated battle in the previous chapter in which he was unable to overcome Yuji.

To finish the protracted struggle, Sukuna unleashed his destructive Domain Expansion, Malevolent Shrine. Maki Zen’in was in a dangerous predicament amid the confusion, greatly outmatched and unable to stop Sukuna’s attack.

Miwa Establishes Her Utility
But when Kasumi Miwa entered the fight—often viewed as “useless” by both fans and herself—things took an unexpected turn. Miwa utilized a Simple Domain to protect Maki from Sukuna’s Malevolent Shrine even though she was unable to defend herself physically because of a binding pledge she had made during the Shibuya arc.

By erecting a barrier of defense around the caster, the Simple Domain anti-barrier technique lessens the effects of a Domain Expansion. Although somewhat successful, it cannot provide total protection from a strong Domain Expansion such as Sukuna’s.

Readers were taken aback by Miwa’s brave intervention, which also called into question the idea that she is “useless.” Fans’ skepticism about Miwa’s talents was dispelled when she put her safety in danger to defend Maki, displaying bravery and selflessness at a crucial juncture in the conflict.

The result of Miwa and Maki’s confrontation with Sukuna’s Domain is yet unknown because Simple Domain is vulnerable to such strong attacks. Even Nevertheless, Miwa’s bravery in the face of her present restrictions demonstrates her will and resolve to battle.

Her acts in chapter 258 demonstrate her development as a person and disprove the idea that she is powerless to resolve the ongoing conflict.
