Since its debut, the anime Jujutsu Kaisen has generated a lot of interest among manga readers as well as in the anime community. Following the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Arc (season 2), anime ratings surged to an unprecedented degree, setting new records for Guinness World Records as the most sought-after anime globally.
The most sought-after anime is now Jujutsu Kaisen, surpassing Attack on Titan by a narrow margin, according to the most recent Guinness World Records.
As Attack on Titan had occupied this spot since 2020, Jujutsu Kaisen’s achievement was noteworthy. The exploding popularity of Jujutsu Kaisen exceeded even that of the beloved series One Piece.
Guinness World Records measures the demand for anime using data from Parrot Analytics. Parrot Analytics takes into account things like online searches, social media chatter, streaming, and downloads. Jujutsu Kaisen was discovered to be 71.2 times more popular than the typical TV program. Its popularity peaked in December of last year.
Jujutsu Kaisen won big at the 2024 Crunchyroll Anime Awards, and Guinness World Records said that the show’s youthful audience contributed to its success. The age range of Jujutsu Kaisen’s audience is from 13 to 22 for 71% of its viewers. The percentage of 13 to 22-year-old viewers of One Piece is roughly 56%, whereas the percentage for Attack on Titan is slightly higher at roughly 64%.
Since season 2’s debut, Jujutsu Kaisen has dominated the anime landscape. JJK was the recipient of the Crunchyroll Anime Award’s “Best Anime of the Year” title.
