“Pon no Michi” is an entirely original animation by Kodansha. It is set in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and depicts the daily lives of high school girls who use Motojakuso as their playground. Manga artist Negi Haruba, creator of the hit romantic comedy manga “The Quintessential Quintuplets,” controls the character design.
In the 6th episode of the previous broadcast, Nashiko Jukkasha (CV: Kaori Maeda) and her friends decided to have a “mahjong training camp” at an inn. After bathing in the hot spring, Nako and her friends changed into yukata and enjoyed playing mahjong. The five of them were spending their time freely, playing mahjong while caring for their skin and even falling asleep in the middle of the game. In the latest episode 7, “August 1st (Pai’s Day)”, Nako and the others held a birthday party for Pai Kawato (CV: Iori Saeki). Riche gave Pi a cosmetics set from a famous brand and made her open another package, saying, “There’s more.” Inside are solid gold mahjong tiles, and Riche smiles and says, “It’s a special commemorative gift, so I made them as a special order.” Pai and the others needed clarification on the costly present.
Riche is an extraordinary young lady who hires a maid, and her sense of money differs significantly from that of ordinary people.
