Malaysia intends to construct a memorial beach house as a monument to the late Kento Nanami from Gege Akutami’s “Jujutsu Kaisen.” After fans designated Kuantan Beach as a “Nanami Kento Memorial Shrine” on internet maps, there was a spike in anime-related travel.
The late Kento Nanami, a beloved character from Gege Akutami’s “Jujutsu Kaisen,” will have a memorial beach home built in his honor, according to plans recently unveiled by the Malaysian government.
The information was released following the revelation in season two of Nanami’s wish to retire on a beach in Malaysia. Following his heartbreaking death, supporters took to social media, designating Kuantan Beach as the “Nanami Kento Memorial Shrine” on digital atlases. Malaysian tourism officials took notice of this display of devotion.
“The response to Nanami’s wish was overwhelming,” said Leong Yu Man, chairman of the tourist committee. “Fans have already put Kuantan on the map, and we believe a permanent tribute could turn the beach into a major tourist destination for anime fans worldwide.”
The Memorial Beach home is presently in the planning stages. Officials have, however, made suggestions for a design that honors Nanami’s love of simplicity and stoic disposition. He might possibly have included aspects of his jujutsu sorcery methods inside the mansion.
Previously, “Jujutsu Kaisen” became the most popular animated show globally in 2023, according to the Guinness World Record. With easy, this anime overthrew industry titans like Attack on Titan and One Piece, despite having only two seasons and a prequel film since its release in 2020.
