In the hands of a skilled assassin, anything can become a fine weapon! In the anime ” SPY×FAMILY,” Yoru (voiced by Hayami Saori ) defeats enemies using “unexpected objects,” eliciting comments of surprise such as, “What an amazing assassination technique lol,” and “Yoru is so cool, a button can turn into a bullet.”
The anime SPY×FAMILY is based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuya Endo. It is being serialized in “Shonen Jump+” (Shueisha) and has sold over 35 million copies. Season 1 of the TV anime aired in 2022, and Season 2 aired in 2023. Both ended with great success.
The movie “SPY×FAMILY CODE: White,” released nationwide in December of the same year, exceeded 1.2 billion yen in box office revenue in the first three days after its release. As of March 31, 2024, it was a huge hit, grossing 6.26 billion yen and attracting over 4.64 million viewers. The production of Season 3 of the TV anime has also been decided.
At first glance, Yor Forger appears to be a quiet, ordinary woman. She is a skilled assassin who has been trained in the art of murder since childhood. In episode 31 of the anime, Yor demonstrates her techniques as a “professional killer.”
Yoru was assigned to guard Orca Gretchen (CV: Endo Aya) and his companions, who were trying to flee the country on a luxury cruise ship. He noticed enemies among the many passengers but decided, “If I intercepted and killed them, it would cause a commotion.” So he ripped off a button from his clothes and shot it at the enemy. The button hit the enemy like a bullet, and the enemy fainted.
Yoru’s skill in quietly defeating the enemy without causing a fuss drew a stream of surprised comments such as, “Yoru’s assassination technique is amazing, lol,” “Yoru’s amazing, with a button turning into a bullet,” and “Yoru did it with a button.”
There is also a scene where Yoru elegantly calls out to the enemy after knocking him unconscious from a blind spot, “Good day. Please take a rest for a while.” Episode 31 of the anime is an episode where you can enjoy Yoru’s charm as a “gentle but first-class assassin.”
