This work is an animated version of the comic by the same name as Hiroshi Fukuda, who also wrote “The World in 5 Minutes” and “Tomorrow’s Battlefield!! Mushibugyo.” It is a youth rock story in which friends’ “true feelings” clash as they reveal their true feelings through music and competition.
The story follows Suzunomiya Ririsa, a “former commoner” and “former rock girl,” who meets Kurogane Otoha, a highly skilled lady drummer who attends the same school and rekindles her passion for rock and enjoys playing in a band. Suzunomiya Ririsa attends Sakurakokoro Girls’ High School, where only top-class ladies are allowed to attend. She is a young lady respected by those around her as she strives to obtain the school’s most honorable and proud title, “Noble Maiden.”
However, she was a “former commoner” who entered the Suzunomiya family a year ago when her mother remarried. To meet her mother’s expectations, Ririsa suppresses her true feelings, abandons her beloved rock and guitar, and behaves like a young lady. One day, she meets Kurogane Otoha, the object of admiration at the school, and by chance, she witnesses Otoha playing the drums… The teaser visual for this work has been released. Suzunomiya Ririsa and Kurogane Otoha, who attend a school for young ladies, have an elegant tea time with musical instruments dancing wildly in the background.
The contrast between the quiet young ladies and rock music’s loud sound and passion is an impressive visual. The first PV, which shows the first animated footage, has also been released. This PV also revealed the voice actors for the main characters, revealing that Akira Sekine will play the role of Suzunomiya Ririsa and Miyuri Shimabukuro will play the role of Kurogane Otoha.
The primary staff information was also announced. Shinya Watada of “Aikatsu Stars! The Movie” and “The Idolmaster Million Live!” will be the director, Shogo Yasukawa of “Ayashiki Triangle” will be the series composer, Yasufumi Soejima of “Rohan Kishibe Doesn’t Move” will be the visual director, and Risa Miyatani, who served as the animation director for the “Aikatsu!” series, will be in charge of character design. BN Pictures, which also produced “Gintama,” “Aikatsu!” and “Wisteria of the Staff and Sword,” will be in charge of animation.
