“Mahoyaku,” also known as “The Wizard’s Promise,” is a game app that “connects the heart with the wizard”. Coly released it on November 26, 2019, and has exceeded 7 million downloads. The setting is a world where wizards and humans coexist.
The protagonist (player) is summoned as a “sage” to a world that has suffered severe damage from a moon called the “Great Calamity” that approaches once a year. The sage will deepen his bonds and connect his heart with the 21 “wise wizards” as he trains and fights to prepare for the approach of the next great calamity. It was made into a manga in 2020 and a 2.5-dimensional stage play in 2021, and the fascinating and delicate worldview and story will finally be delivered in anime.
