“The Apothecary Diaries” is a harem mystery-solving entertainment based on the novel of the same name by Natsu Hinata, which has sold over 38 million copies. Set in the harem, the story depicts Nekoneko, a pharmacist who has become a “poison taster,” using her knowledge of poisons and medicines to solve various complex cases that occur in the palace one after another. It has also been made into a comic book in two monthly magazines, “Big Gangan” and “Sunday GX,” the total number of series copies exceeds 38 million.
The first season of the TV anime will be broadcast for two consecutive seasons starting in October 2023. The detective drama by the rare poison-loving girl Nekoneko and the comical exchanges between Nekoneko and the handsome eunuch Jinshi became popular, and it even became the number one trending topic on X (formerly Twitter). The theme of the “TV Anime ‘The Apothecary Diaries’ POP UP STORE ~Moon Spirit~” that has been decided to be held this time is “Moon Spirit.” Goods will be sold using original illustrations of the “Moon Spirit” Nekoneko and Jinshi, who appeared in the 29th episode of the second season of the TV anime.
