This school hero action film, written by Makura Sho and illustrated by Okano Tsuyoshi, depicts the psychic teacher with demon hands, Nueno Meisuke (also known as “Nube”), battling monsters, evil spirits, and other mysterious phenomena to protect the students. While the stories, based on school ghost stories and urban legends, thrilled the hearts of readers, the heroic figure of “Nube” risking his life to protect students from the threat of monsters and evil spirits has made him popular across generations and an animated version was broadcast on TV Asahi from 1996 to 1997.
Comments from the theme song artists
[Opening Theme: – Shintenchi Kaibyaku Shudan – Zigzag] When the idea for this came up, I wanted this to be the band because there’s no other band that fits this worldview! So when it was decided, I was so happy I was shaking.
I wrote this song with the image of Nube’s coolness and with the theme of universal kindness and courage. I have a special attachment to the opening song at that time, and I playfully incorporated some of its elements☆ [Ending Theme: Chilli Beans.] The first image that came to my mind was the atmosphere of going home from school in the evening.
After watching the anime, I was aware of the teacher’s strong side in protecting his students in terms of sound. The lyrics depict the pure feelings of trusting a strong teacher from the student’s perspective! This song is also new for Chilli Beans. I hope that the ending will fit the broad and imposing worldview of the anime “Hell Teacher Nube”! It will make people a little more positive about the promise to see each other again tomorrow!
