A global visual and a release PV have been released, depicting Shiori, one of the main characters in the TV anime “I Want to Eat Me, a Demon,” which is set to begin airing in October 2025, in her half-demon form.
The global visual features the contrast between her ocean-like blue eyes and mysteriously glowing yellow eyes, the scales covering her body, and the mermaid’s hands with their long, sharp claws. The image of a smiling Shiori is an impressive one that will convey the appeal of Japanese yokai culture to people overseas.
The global visual was also released. It shows Shiori, who appears before the main character, Hinako, transforming from a young girl into a monster. The video, which delves deeply into the character’s personality as a “non-human” monster, reveals the details of each part of the half-demon’s appearance.
“I Want to Eat Me, Monster” is a TV anime adaptation of a manga by Sai Naekawa, currently serialized in Dengeki Maoh (KADOKAWA) and Kadokomi. It is a beautiful and heartbreaking depiction of the encounter between a girl and a monster.
