It has been decided that a special program commemorating the 5th anniversary of the anime ” Jujutsu Kaisen ” will be streamed on Sunday, August 31. In addition, to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the anime, the first “5th Anniversary Visual of the Anime “Jujutsu Kaisen, drawn by the production studio MAPPA, and the 5th anniversary logo have been released.
Jujutsu Kaisen (written by Gege Akutami), a hugely popular comic series that has sold over 100 million copies (including digital versions) since its six-and-a-half-year serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, was adapted into a TV anime series.
The first season aired from October 2020 to March 2021, and the first film adaptation, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 the Movie, was a huge hit, grossing 26.5 billion yen worldwide. The second season, Kaitama/Tamaori/Shibuya Incident, aired from July to December 2023, and garnered a tremendous response not only in Japan but around the world.
The film compilation “Jujutsu Kaisen: Kaijutsu and the Ball” is scheduled for release on Friday, May 30, 2025, and a revival screening of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” is scheduled for release on Friday, October 17. Furthermore, the production of a sequel, “Death to Death,” has also been announced, and things are building up.

The program will feature Junya Enoki, who plays Yuji Itadori, Yuuma Uchida, who plays Megumi Fushiguro, and Asami Seto, who plays Nobara Kugisaki. Five significant pieces of information will be revealed leading up to the fifth anniversary, including a corner looking back on the history of the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” and a corner on the smartphone game “Phantom Parade.”

The visuals feature students from Tokyo Metropolitan Jujutsu Technical College, including Itadori Yuji, as well as Gojo Satoru, Nanami Kento, and students from Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu Technical College, creating a celebratory atmosphere with each character’s individuality shining through.
