The opening theme song for the new TV anime “The Court Magician Who Was Confined to Support Magic Because His Allies Were Weak, Was Banished and Aims to Become the Strongest,” which will begin airing on TV Asahi on October 4, will be performed by Akiyama Kiiro. Aruma will perform the ending theme song.

Opening theme song here. “The Court Magician Who Was Confined to Support Magic Because His Allies Were Weak, Was Banished and Aims to Become the Strongest” is a TV anime based on the light novel of the same name by Alto. The story follows the protagonist, Alec Yugret, who was banished from his party by the crown prince of the palace he served, as he embarks on a new great adventure with his friends from the magic academy.

The opening theme song, “Quest,” was written specifically for the anime by Akiyama. It’s a fast-paced rock number that sings of “the hardships of taking on a new challenge and the true self that can be found when accepting them.”

Akiyama also announced the digital release of his new song, “Nail is Dead feat. 100 Times Vomiting,” on August 25. “Nail Is Dead” is a collaboration song featuring a bold arrangement by 100 Times Vomiting and lyrics written by Akiyama. Meanwhile, the ending theme, “Fragments,” is sung by Aruma.

The song evokes the various episodes in which the protagonist, Alec, strives to become the strongest. It has also been revealed that new voice actors for the anime will be Hikaru Midorikawa as Eldas Mihaila and Atsushi Abe as Regulus Galdana.

Akiyama Yellow Comment: I’m Akiyama Yellow. I composed the opening theme song. Whether starting or quitting something, any change is always accompanied by evaluation, but there are countless things you can only see at such times. Who helped you? What do you want to do? Evolution is almost a battle. However, when you’re prepared to accept losses, you may discover an indescribable true self. Please listen to your requests through Quest. I would be happy to contribute even a little to the depth of the work.

Aruma Comment: I’m Aruma, and I’ll be singing the ending theme for the TV anime “The Court Magician Who Limited His Allies to Support Magic, Exiled and Aims to Become the Strongest.” It depicts the subtleties of the human heart and the quiet strength that we all possess. As I read the original manga, I imagined what I would think and what words we would exchange if I had a friend like this, and that’s how the song “Fragments” was born. I sang this song with the hope of empathizing with someone who is trying to move forward despite the lack of correct answers. I would be delighted if this song could be a small fragment that guides the journey of this excellent work.

Midorikawa Hikaru Comment: I was given an essential role in the first episode, which is crucial to the start of the series. I was cast with the expectation that I would fulfill the role perfectly, so I did my best to live up to those expectations. What did you all think of him? I’d love to hear your thoughts! Abe Atsushi Comment: I’m Abe Atsushi, who will be playing the role of Regulus this time. Although he is positioned as a villain, I think he is a fascinating character, and I look forward to seeing his future growth. Please keep an eye on Regulus along with the series.
