The story follows the exploits of Saitama, the “cool-headed strongest hero” who can defeat any enemy with a single punch. As of August 2025, the original manga series has sold over 34 million copies.

The anime series, with its first season airing from October to December 2015 and its second season airing from April to June 2019, has enjoyed immense popularity both in Japan and overseas.
