The synopsis and preview stills for episode 23, “I Thought Nothing Good Would Happen in My Life,” of the summer anime series “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru,” Season 2, which will begin airing on Saturday, September 13, 2025, have been released.
Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” is a cosplay-sexy story based on the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, which has been published in Square Enix’s “Young Gangan” and “Manga UP!” and has sold over 13 million copies. The story follows two opposites: Gojo Niina, a high school boy who aspires to become a “kashirashi” (head maker) who makes faces for Hina dolls, but is ignorant of fashion and struggles to fit in with his class; and Kitagawa Marin, a popular girl at the center of the class. One day, they meet and begin to bond through cosplay.
The TV anime is being animated by CloverWorks under the direction of Keisuke Shinohara, with Himena Naota voicing Kitagawa Marin and Shoya Ishige voicing Gojo Niina. Season 2 marks the first sequel in nearly three years since Season 1, which aired from January to March 2022. Marin and Niina, still full of cosplays they want to try and costumes they want to make, continue to expand their worlds as they interact with their classmates and meet new cosplay friends.
Will there be any progress in Marin’s love, which Niina is excited about? Episode 23, “I Thought Nothing Good Would Happen in My Life,” Synopsis: The day before the “coffin” fitting, Niina and Asahi are making props for the shoot. As they work, Asahi talks about what inspired him to start cosplaying. Meanwhile, Sasuka is with Miyako and Suzuka. When asked to cosplay as Black Lobelia, Sasuka refuses, saying absolutely nothing. Miyako then says something to her.
