Amazon Prime’s September viewing ranking: 3rd place “Chainsaw Man: The Complete Collection”

The TV series compilation of the smash hit “Chainsaw Man,” currently serialized in “Shonen Jump+” and boasting a cumulative circulation of over 30 million copies, ranked third. The original work is by renowned manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto. Tatsuki Fujimoto’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down, with “Look Back,” which was released to critical acclaim in theaters in June 2025, and “Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26,” an anime adaptation of eight short manga stories, scheduled for release in October. Furthermore, this series is produced by MAPPA, the animation studio behind numerous hits such as “Jujutsu Kaisen,” and features Kenshi Yonezu’s “KICK BACK” as the opening theme.

The series also features a unique ending theme, featuring top artists such as Eve, ano, Aimer, and Vaundy. This diverse talent pool, combined with others, created a show that garnered significant buzz from its broadcast, despite receiving mixed reviews. The protagonist, Denji, lives a life of extreme poverty, slaying demons and selling his own organs to pay off his parents’ debts. Betrayed and driven to despair, Denji makes a pact with a chainsaw demon named Pochita and is reborn as Chainsaw Man, endowed with the heart of a demon.

After gaining his powers, Denji joins the Public Safety Demon-Anti-Special Section 4 and continues to hunt demons alongside a group of eccentric characters, including Makima, Aki Hayakawa, Power, and Himeno. Through Denji’s perspective, the story depicts the honest feelings of adolescent boys, including violence and sexual fantasies, creating a stimulating story. Many viewers may find the portrayal of unvarnished love, romance, and desire strangely addictive.

Furthermore, the theatrical version of “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” will be released in theaters in September. A compilation film has been released to allow viewers to preview the movie, and it is steadily gaining viewership. Be sure to check it out now to enjoy the film in theaters.
