The TV anime “Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka,” based on the original work from “Gagaga Bunko” (Shogakukan), will begin airing today, Tuesday, October 7th. A sneak preview of the first episode, along with a synopsis, has been released. The premiere will air tonight at 6:30 PM on TOKYO MX and other channels, and will be streamed simultaneously on terrestrial TV on ABEMA.
This emotional coming-of-age story is based on the light novel by Yumu, published by “Gagaga Bunko” and also adapted into a comic book. Chitose Saku, a “jack-of-all-trades” high school student with excellent looks, high academic skills, sports abilities, and communication skills, begins when, at the request of his homeroom teacher, he becomes involved in the rehabilitation of his classmate, the reclusive student Yamazaki Kenta.
The story carefully depicts the struggles and complex human relationships of youth. The original work has received high praise, winning first place for two consecutive years in the “This Light Novel is Amazing!” contest, and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
