The Musashino Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Anime no Manga no Musashino Executive Committee is hosting the anime section of Musashino City’s “Anime no Manga no Musashino” regional revitalization project, “Anime no Musashino (Animusa),” as part of its 2025 initiative. This year, in its fourth year, the committee will collaborate with the latest series, “Mobile Police Patlabor EZY.”
The project, launched in 2022, aims to promote the region through manga and anime, capitalizing on the area’s proximity to Musashino City, known for its many anime production companies. The Chamber of Commerce and the Musashino City Tourism Organization collaborate to disseminate information and hold events with local animation production companies and creators.
The Executive Committee stated, “Thanks to the overwhelming response, we’ve been able to reach our fourth year.” The 2025 Animusa project will center on “Mobile Police Patlabor EZY,” produced by JCSTAFF, headquartered in the city, and will cover the Kichijoji, Musashisakai, and Mitaka areas. In Kichijoji, a screening and talk event is scheduled for February 14th, 2026, at Musashino Public Hall as part of the “4th Animusa Festival.”
This will be the second collaboration with the Patlabor series, which has been running since 1988, following last year’s event, with the organizers predicting, “What is the relationship between the venue, Kichijoji, and Mobile Police Patlabor EZY?” Additionally, at Musashino Place, a complex in Musashisakai, an exhibition of production materials will be held with the cooperation of JCSTAFF from February 16th to 22nd, 2026, and original stickers featuring newly drawn illustrations are scheduled to be distributed in late February in the north exit area of Mitaka Station. Details such as the date, time, and how to participate will be announced at a later date.
