Additional cast members announced include Yamada Marina, Suwabe Junichi, Midorikawa Hikaru, and Furihata Ai, and it has also been revealed that Takagaki Ayahi and Shirota Yu will perform the opening and ending theme songs as “Takagaki Ayahi feat. Shirota Yu.”
“The Villainess is Adored by the Crown Prince of the Neighboring Kingdom” is a bittersweet love story based on the light novel by Puni-chan, which has sold over 5.6 million copies.
The story begins when the protagonist, Tiararose, recalls her past life as an otome game player obsessed with “Lapis Lazuli Ring” and realizes she has been reincarnated into that game as a “villainous lady” who gets in the way of the heroine. If the heroine succeeds in winning over His Highness, the Crown Prince of the Lapis Lazuli Kingdom, Hartnight, Tiararose faces only a humiliating condemnation event.
However, amidst this, Aquasteed, the crown prince of the neighboring kingdom and the main character of the sequel game that was unavailable in her past life, appears dashingly and proposes to Tiararose. Will Tiararose achieve her happy ending? The TV anime is directed by Hamana Takayuki and animated by Studio Deen. Mai Fuchigami will play Tiararose, Yuichiro Umehara will play Aquasteed, Takuya Sato will play Hartnight, and Yumiri Hanamori will play Akari.
The broadcast start date has now been confirmed, along with the announcement of additional characters and their cast. Following on from the game, Marina Yamada will play Aishira, the daughter of the Duke of Pearlant; Junichi Suwabe will play Keith, the forest fairy king; Hikaru Midorikawa will play Grail, the sky fairy king; and Ai Furihata will play Pearl, the sea fairy king.
The main promotional video, released at the same time, also unveiled the theme songs and the new characters. Both the opening theme, “Ai no Fanfare,” and the ending theme, “Magical Sound,” will be performed by Ayahi Takagaki feat. Yu Shirota.
