by The TV anime “Detective Conan” (every Saturday at 6:00 PM, Nippon TV) will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. To commemorate this, TVer will be releasing 30 carefully selected episodes titled “2026 is the Anime’s 30th Anniversary! 30 Carefully Selected Quotes! Selection” starting December 19, one episode per day. The episodes will focus on famous quotes from characters such as Edogawa Conan, Kudo Shinichi, Mouri Ran, and Mouri Kogoro.
“Detective Conan” will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. Based on the manga of the same name by Aoyama Gosho, which has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” since 1994, the TV anime began airing on January 8, 1996. They will celebrate their 30th anniversary in 2026.
The series follows high school detective Kudo Shinichi (voice: Yamaguchi Kappei), who is forced to ingest a poison after witnessing a suspicious transaction involving a man in black. He transforms into a child and takes on the name “Edogawa Conan” as he solves complex cases.
The 30th anniversary year kicks off with a one-hour special, “Detective Conan Episode ZERO: Kudo Shinichi’s Aquarium Incident,” airing on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM. The special will also be available for catch-up streaming on TVer after the broadcast.
“Detective Conan” Introduction: High school detective Kudo Shinichi is visiting an amusement park with his childhood friend and classmate Mouri Ran (voice: Yamazaki Wakana), when he witnesses a suspicious transaction involving a man dressed in black. Enthralled by the transaction, Shinichi fails to notice another companion approaching him from behind.
The man forces Shinichi to drink poison, and when he wakes up, he finds that his body has shrunk. If they find out that Kudo Shinichi is still alive, his life will be threatened again, and those around him will be put in danger. On the advice of Professor Agasa (voice: Ogata Kenichi), Shinichi decides to hide his true identity. When Ran asks him his name, he quickly replies, “Edogawa Conan.” To find out more about the group, he moves into Ran’s house, where her father is a detective.
The organization is shrouded in mystery. All we know is that their code names are named after alcoholic beverages. The young, great detective Edogawa Conan (voice: Takayama Minami) begins his adventures to uncover the true identities of the culprits.
