the studio behind “Dandadan.” The trailer showcases the protagonist, Shitara, running through the 13th-century Iranian city of Tus, along with a lively bazaar and beautiful architecture.

The teaser visual also depicts Shitara gazing directly at the viewer amidst doves flying in the sky and fluttering flower petals. In addition to Yamada as general director, Abel Gongora, who worked on the second season of “Dandadan,” is also involved in the production.

Director Yamada commented, “Strong and adorable. We will depict the story with respect and care. Please enjoy!” “Jadugal of the Tent” is set in the 13th century and tells the story of a harem where a clever young woman, Shitara, held captive by the Mongol Empire, shakes the empire with her wisdom. Science SARU handles animation production. Director Naoko Yamada’s Comment on “Jadugal of the Tent”: This story, written by Tomato Soup Sensei, was very fresh and full of stimulating surprises for me.

The characters, including Shitara, who found themselves caught in the great waves of a changing era, truly lived, thought, believed in love, and lived their lives, sometimes boldly and sometimes delicately. Strong and adorable. We will depict this story with great respect and care. We hope you enjoy!

Director Abel Gongora’s Comment: The cultures that developed in the Mongolian and Persian Empires are both magnificent. With deep respect for those who have preserved these traditions, we have interpreted their history in our own way, regardless of fact or legend.

The original manga features a strong, sharp, and distinctive heroine. I am genuinely delighted to bring you the moment she carves out her own shining path and embarks on an epic animation adventure. Yoshida Kenichi (Character Designer/Chief Animation Director): This is my first adaptation of an original work, so I’m working hard on everything!

Kato Kan’ichi (Series Composition): I have worked hard to create an animation that captures the splendor of the original work. Long ago, the grasslands, beautiful night skies, and nomadic lifestyle of 13th-century Mongolia—through our protagonist’s journey as he acquires knowledge and survives in this different culture- I hope you will experience the conflicts, encounters, and hope for the future that are relatable to us today.

Comment from Hino Koshiro (music): “The characters are all fascinating, but expressing the complex emotions of Sitara, who lives a strong and resilient life despite harboring resentment and sadness, was both the most significant challenge and the most rewarding. Furthermore, expressing such a subject matter in the modern era is very meaningful. I am confident that we will live in a peaceful world where no child like Sitara is born, no matter what country or region.

This was my first time producing a soundtrack for an animation, and my first time producing Persian and Mongolian music, so it was all a first for me. Still, I was able to accomplish this thanks to the two directors and the entire production team, who patiently worked alongside me. I want to express my gratitude once again.”
