To mark the milestone, Toei Video has announced a large-scale anniversary campaign featuring free YouTube streaming of all 12 OVA episodes, a special fan event in Tokyo, and the release of a remastered Blu-ray BOX.
The celebration gives longtime fans a chance to revisit one of Japan’s most beloved biker anime while introducing a new generation of viewers to the classic series.
All 12 Shonan Bakusozoku OVA Episodes Streaming Free on YouTube
As part of the anniversary campaign, Toei Video’s official YouTube channel is making every episode of the Shonan Bakusozoku OVA series available to watch for free for a limited time.
The streaming event runs from July 23 through August 20, 2026, with the 12 OVAs released in four phases. Each batch remains available for one week before the next group of episodes becomes available.
Originally released between 1986 and 1999, the OVA series spans 14 years and faithfully adapts Satoshi Yoshida’s popular manga.
This limited-time release offers fans an opportunity to experience the complete story legally at no cost.

The guests will discuss the production of the OVA series, share behind-the-scenes stories, and reflect on the evolution of original video animation in Japan.

Fan Voting and Fan Art Campaigns
Fans can participate in two special anniversary campaigns through the official event website.
Vote for Your Favorite Episode
Viewers are invited to vote for their favorite Shonan Bakusozoku OVA.
The winning episode will be screened during the anniversary event, and the final rankings will be announced live.
Three lucky participants selected by lottery will receive a replica Blu-ray BOX signed by original creator Satoshi Yoshida.
Fan Art Contest
Fans can also submit original artwork inspired by the series.
Entries will be judged by Takashi Saijo, who will personally select the recipient of the Takashi Saijo Award.
The winning artist will receive a signed replica Blu-ray BOX featuring Saijo’s autograph.

Collectors will also have the opportunity to own the complete series in high definition.
