‘A peerless beauty (male)’ ‘This will bring the country to ruin.’ Jinshi transforms into the ‘Moon Spirit’! Episode 29 of the anime ‘The Apothecary Diaries’

In the 29th episode of the anime The Apothecary Diaries, which aired on February 7th (and is currently airing), Jinshi (CV: Takeo Otsuka) replaced the “Moon Spirit.” He danced in a gorgeous costume, and many viewers were entranced, commenting, “She’s so beautiful” and “She’s too pretty.”

Jinshi is asked by the envoy to meet the moon spirit his grandfather saw 50 years ago. However, the moon spirit’s true identity is that of a capable older woman (voiced by Saito Kimiko) from her younger days, and her appearance has completely changed since then. So in episode 29, “Moon Spirit,” Jinshi, who is so beautiful that it’s said that “if she were a woman, she would topple the country,” disguises herself as the moon spirit. Jinshi wears a gorgeous costume and dances in front of the envoy.

The internet was abuzz with excitement about Jinshi, who had transformed into the spirit of the moon, with comments such as “He’s too beautiful, it’s dangerous lol,” “Here comes the beauty who can turn a country’s head,” “He’s captivating,” “A peerless beauty (male),” “This will turn the country’s head,” and “He’s so beautiful.”

The anime “The Apothecary Diaries” is based on a light novel by Natsu Hinata. It has also been adapted into a comic book, and the series has sold over 38 million copies. It is a mystery-solving entertainment series in which Nekoneko (voiced by Aoi Yuki ), the daughter of a pharmacist who has an abnormal obsession with poison and medicine, and the mysterious and handsome eunuch Jinji take on complex cases that occur in the palace.

Episode 29 – “Moon Spirit “
To fulfill the envoy’s unreasonable request to “meet the moon spirit,” Nekoneko hears the story of the past from a capable old lady at Ryokuseikan, a “moon spirit” who has been in the entertainment district for over 50 years. Based on the story and a fantastical painting that the envoy’s grandfather had painted after returning to his country, Nekoneko travels to the peach orchard in the harem, where the moon spirit is said to have danced.

There, she accidentally meets Shisui, who has come to catch insects. While talking, Nekoneko devises a secret plan. Then, on the day of the envoy’s banquet, as the full moon rises, a beautiful moon spirit appears before the envoys.
