A popular theory is that the final villain in My Hero Academia will be a parasite.

My Hero Academia’s universe is constantly growing, but one important question remains. Who is this universe’s ultimate villain?

But given the manga’s current pace and the fact that it’s Shigaraki, what if there’s more going on behind the scenes?

Thanks to the theory of Twitter/X user @YasserMontasse5, it is possible that Horikoshi sensei may reveal the true antagonist of the narrative, leaving Shigaraki and All For One behind.

Without further ado, let’s explore an intriguing notion that suggests that events could be related to Attack of Titan, one of the most well-known anime series ever.

The Theory of Parasite: Before we get started, keep in mind that theory is just a basic interpretation of someone’s ideas, thus nothing in this article should be taken for granted.

Deku is shown in this panel as being shocked by the return of AFO since he is aware of what transpired at the U.A. floating tomb. It might reveal the presence of a parasite masquerading as AFO, which is a third entity.

More accurately, we are discussing the parasite that initially gave rise to peculiarities and is still alive for an additional eon.

This parasite’s nature is to drain its host of life, and as Shigaraki’s body is failing, it chose him to be its host.

You might wonder, how? In the past, when AFO’s mother gave birth to him, we have previously seen the skin cyst that Giardia first develops into.

When Giardia enters its second phase, known as Trophozite, it splits in two and develops a voracious appetite in addition to self-consciousness. This could be the cause of AFO’s continued feeding after his mother passed away.

The fact that both things are happening at the same time is crucial. Odds spread globally after the rats devoured his mother’s body in the river. Remember that the parasite Giardia is extremely waterborne and spreads through the excrement of infected rodents.

Through the lake water, this virus continues to spread over the world, and even when the water passes through a filtration plant, a very small percentage of the virus always remains.

According to the narration of All For One, everyone hates him not because he’s a narcissistic, insecure person but rather because of his desire to rule the world. That being said, it’s possible that this is the result of a parasite that lives inside of him and has a drive to spread over the planet.

It’s likely that his Demon Lord identity was developed as a copium technique to prevent him from going nuts from being controlled by an unsightly force.

In the past, AFO even loved and wished to care for his brother. But the parasite kept him insane and made sure his mind was only focused on surviving, even if it meant taking advantage of everyone to get what he wanted.

The capacity to remove the quirks is an ability to feed the parasite, and the way AFO passes the quirks on to others may be a means for the parasite to spread itself.

Every time this creature appears in the manga, body-horror panels are included. If you look closely, Eri’s horn resembles the cyst that developed on AFO’s mother’s arm. There may be a connection between these two things because Eri’s quirk is a mutation, but it is unlikely that she inherited it from someone else.

Once more, everything is really a hypothesis in the end! This cannot be confirmed, but given how closely these items match up, it is possible. Who knows, though?
