The second issue of Hana to Yume, featuring the manga “Akatsuki no Yona,” which has finally concluded, was released on December 19, 2025, with the cover and opening color pages.
The magazine also includes a luxurious bonus, a “Akatsuki no Yona Completion Commemorative Acrylic Stand by Kusanagi Mizuho,” and announces that an anime sequel to “Akatsuki no Yona ” is in the works.
“Akatsuki no Yona” is an epic fantasy romance serialized in Hana to Yume by Kusanagi Mizuho. Set in the Kouka Kingdom, where the founding myth of the Four Dragons is passed down, the story follows the intertwining fates of the princess, protagonist Yona, and the Four Dragons. It was adapted into a TV anime series that aired from October 2014 to March 2015, and has also been adapted into a stage play and a musical.
The series has been serialized for 16 years, beginning with issue 17 in 2009, and is beloved by many readers. It reached a dignified conclusion with issue 2 of “Hana to Yume,” where it graced the cover and led the color pages. Where did it end up after its long journey? To celebrate the conclusion, 30 people will be entered into a lottery to win a “B6 acrylic plate with a replica autograph.”
This issue also comes with a luxurious bonus: “Akatsuki no Yona Completion Commemorative Acrylic Stand by Kusanagi Mizuho.” Measuring approximately 100mm tall and 60mm wide, this acrylic stand features original illustrations of Haku and Yona by Kusanagi, making it a truly satisfying experience. It has also been announced that a sequel anime will be in the works, so keep an eye out for future developments. Akatsuki no Yona will appear in issue 6 of “Hana to Yume,” due to be released on February 20, as both a bonus story and a bonus item.
