It has also been revealed that Ayato Morinaga and Masaaki Mizunaka will appear as additional cast members.
“Statusyo,” also known as “My Status as an Assassin is Clearly Stronger than the Hero’s,” is an alternate-world fantasy series based on the original work by Akai Matsuri, with a total circulation of over 1.6 million copies as of August 2025. Nobuyoshi Habara, animated by Sunrise, will direct the TV anime.
The Cast includes Takeo Otsuka as Akira Oda, Saku Mizuno as Amelia Rose Quartz, Sanae Kobayashi as Yoru, Yoshi Tamura as Leah Lagoon, Junichi Suwabe as Saran Misrey, Ayato Morinaga as Tsukasa Sato, and Masaaki Mizunaka as Kyosuke Asahina. Akira Oda, a high school student, is summoned to another world along with his classmates.
While all of his classmates are granted cheat abilities, Akira, perhaps due to his natural inconspicuousness, gains the power of a mediocre “assassin.” However, Akira’s stats, which should be just those of an “assassin,” easily surpass even the most powerful profession, “hero.” Later, after being falsely accused, Aki takes refuge in the depths of a labyrinth where he meets a beautiful elf girl.

Morinaga will play Sato Tsukasa, a high school student who is summoned to another world alongside Akira and his classmates, where he becomes a “hero.” In contrast, Mizunaka will play Asahina Kyosuke, one of Akira’s few friends and a “samurai” who accompanies Tsukasa in his quest to defeat the Demon King.
