To celebrate the broadcast of the TV anime “Gintama: Class 3 Ginpachi Sensei,” Abema will launch its first official free channel for “Gintama.” All 367 episodes of the TV anime will be streamed for free from October 14 to November 21, 2025.
“Gintama” is based on the manga by Hideaki Sorachi, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. The series has sold over 73 million copies, including digital versions. Set in a fictional Edo world ruled by aliens known as Amanto, the story follows Sakata Gintoki, Shinpachi, Kagura, and other friends as they solve cases brought to the general store.
The TV anime first aired in 2006, with a hiatus in between, and aired all 367 episodes over the course of 13 years. Starting in October 2025, the anime “3rd Year Z Class Ginpachi Sensei,” based on the spin-off novel “Gintama: 3rd Year Z Class Ginpachi Sensei,” began airing.
ABEMA launched the official free “Gintama” channel on October 14. All 367 episodes of the “Gintama” TV anime will be streamed for free, with each episode available for free viewing for one week after its release. “3rd Year Z Class Ginpachi Sensei” is also available for free streaming on the “ABEMA Anime Channel” every Monday night at 12:30 midnight.
