“Lycoris Recoil” is an original anime that depicts the exploits of the girls “Lycoris,” who are agents of the secret organization “DA (Direct Attack)” that prevents crimes before they happen. This work, which aired in July 2022, attracted attention for its story depicting the daily lives of Lycoris’s mismatched buddy, Nishikigi Chisoku (CV: Anzai Chika) and Inoue Takina (CV: Wakayama Shion), the changes in their relationship, and their incredible gun action. It has also been made into a novel, a comic, and a stage play, and the second stage adaptation, “Stage ‘Lycoris Recoil’ Life won’t wait.” will be performed from June 7, 2024.
The launch of the original short movie project was announced during the unique program “Ricoriko Productions 2nd Anniversary Broadcast at Sumida Aquarium by Anzai-san and Wakayama-san,” which was broadcast on July 23.
This project will see the production of six short movies set in the Ricorico Cafe, depicting the new daily lives of Senzoku, Takina, and others! Under the direction of director Shingo Adachi, each of the six movies will be storyboarded and directed by a different creator. Some episodes will even have the script written by character designer Imigimuru.
