The latest Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX ( Geku Axe ), will be broadcast from late April 8th. This work has attracted much attention from anime fans, but what kind of story will it unfold? Based on various advanced information, we would like to predict the content. Please note that the contents of the theatrical advance version of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning are mentioned in the analysis, so please be careful if you want to avoid spoilers.

This article contains spoilers for the theatrical advance version of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning. The work is an original anime by Studio Color and Sunrise. The theatrical advance version of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX -Beginning (hereinafter referred to as “Beginning”), which was released in January, was a huge hit, grossing 3.34 billion yen and attracting 2.02 million viewers.

The director is Kazuya Tsurumaki, who is known as one of the prominent staff members of the Neon Genesis Evangelion series. Yoji Enokido handles the series composition and script.

The two, who created hits such as “FLCL” and “Aim for the Top 2!” in the 2000s, have teamed up again. Furthermore, Hideaki Anno is also involved in part of the script. It’s a dream team lineup, but the content is intense. It is a bold arrangement of the setting of the original “Mobile Suit Gundam” (hereinafter “First”), which has been treated as a sacred place until now. First, a rough review of the content of “Beginning” is the same as “First,” and the premise is the same as “First,” set in the Universal Century when a large number of humans have migrated to space. The conflict between the Earth Federation and the Principality of Zeon is becoming serious.

Amid a fierce war, Char Aznable of the Zeon army arrives at the Earth Federation colony “Side 7”. Char seizes the new mobile suit of the Earth Federation, the Gundam, which was initially supposed to be piloted by Amuro. He repaints it in his trademark red color and becomes unrivaled on the battlefield. Perhaps due to his exploits, the Principality of Zeon, which is defeated in the “official story,” wins against the Earth Federation. About six years later, a girl named Amate Yuzuriha (Machu), who lives a peaceful life in the Izma Colony of Side 6, pilots the mysterious mobile suit “GQuuuuuuX” (G-Qu-Axe), and the gears of fate begin to turn. What developments could occur in the upcoming TV anime version? If you are a fan of the “Gundam” series, you will probably wonder if the characters from “First” will be involved.

Since history has been dramatically changed in this work, many of the characters who played an active role in “First” have lost their roles. Not only the main character, Amuro, who was deprived of the Gundam he was initially supposed to pilot, but Lalah, who was originally supposed to be the tragic heroine, does not appear. However, in “Beginning,” the existence of Dr. Flanagan and an organization called “Flanagan School” is depicted.

In “First,” Lalah was raised at the Flanagan Institute and held such an essential position that she was called the “prized child” of the institution, so that she may be involved in the story in some way in the world of “Zeequaxe.” Of particular note is that during the battle over Solomon Drop, before disappearing due to “Zeknova,” Char muttered, “I can see the time.”

As is well known, this is an homage to Lalah’s line in “First.” Moreover, since Char acted as if he were talking to someone at this time, it is possible that he was communicating with none other than Lalah. In addition, on social media, some people suspect that the mysterious object “Sharon’s Rose,” which was mentioned briefly in the work, is related to Lalah.
