It has been announced that the anime “Baki-Dou,” based on the fourth installment of Itagaki Keisuke’s fighting manga “Baki” series, will be released worldwide exclusively on Netflix in 2026. Teaser art has been released depicting Baki Hanma and Miyamoto Musashi descending to the present day.

A teaser PV has also been released on YouTube, depicting Miyamoto Musashi as a new threat to Baki and his friends, utilizing a swordsmanship that combines superhuman strength and lightning speed.

“Baki-Dou” is a manga serialized in ” Weekly Shonen Champion ” (Akita Shoten) from 2014 to 2018. The story follows the end of “the strongest father-son quarrel on earth,” as Baki and other veteran fighters are overcome with unbearable boredom.

Meanwhile, a plan to revive the master swordsman Miyamoto Musashi in the present day, 364 meters below the Tokyo Skytree, is underway. The story depicts a fierce battle between Baki and his friends and Miyamoto Musashi, who has been resurrected using cloning technology and spiritualism.

The “Baki” series is a fighting manga that depicts the battles between fighters such as underground arena champion Baki Hanma and Baki’s father, Yujiro Hanma, who is known as “the strongest creature on earth .”

The first part, “Grappler Baki,” began serialization in 1991 in “Weekly Shonen Champion.” The latest installment in the series, “Baki Rahen,” is currently being serialized in the same magazine. The series has sold over 85 million copies in total.

The anime “Baki” and “Baki the Great” are currently streaming on Netflix. “Baki-dou” is being produced by TMS Entertainment, the same company that produced “Baki” and “Baki the Great.”
