by The world’s largest anime event, “AnimeJapan 2022”, held for two days at Tokyo Big Sight, will end on March 27th. Every year, cosplayers dressed in various costumes add glamour to the event venue. “ENTAME next” will feature the cosplayers who formed the longest line.
Kipi, who has 152,000 followers, was showing off the cosplay appearance of the character Kuroe Shizuku, who appeared in work “My Dress-Up Darling is in Love” (* Dress-Up Darling). I asked kipi about the points she was particular about in cosplay and her usual activities.
What is this cosplay? Kuroe Shizukutan’s cosplay of “Null Woman 2” (* the game work that appears in the film) cosplayed by Kaimu Kitagawa of “My Dress-Up Darling is in Love” am.
Please tell us the reason why you chose this cosplay.
About three years ago, my friend told me that there was an exciting cosplay manga. Isn’t cosplay manga rare? Also, I’m really into it, and I especially like Shizukutan’s costumes.
Are there any points about the costumes you are wearing?
I chose a thick and tense fabric to give it a luxurious feel. I don’t have long legs like Kaimu-chan, so I get out of balance when trying to express a 2D girl in 3D. I changed the silhouette of the clothes to have the same ratio. For example, the waist is just below the bust.
What is your impression of participating in “AnimeJapan” after a long time?
I used to come to the event mainly for cosplay, but this time I had a lot of favourite anime, so I went around various booths. I wondered if the shape of the event changed due to the corona, but it was fascinating, and I enjoyed the actual event.
By the way, what kind of activities do you usually do?
I work in office work. I’m usually a company slave, so I only work (laughs). So I feel like I’m cosplaying only on weekends, so I’m glad I came to the event today.
What kind of work would you like to cosplay next?
An animated version of the manga “SPY x FAMILY” serialized in “Shonen Jump +” will be broadcast in April. I’ve done cosplay for a character called Yoru-san that appears in that work, but I still have only ready-made costumes, so I’d like to make costumes from scratch.
