Marvel’s latest animated series, “Eyes of Wakanda,” executive produced by Ryan Coogler of the film ” Black Panther,” will premiere exclusively on Disney’s official video streaming service, Disney+, on August 1st (all four episodes will be released at once), and a trailer and stills have been released.

Wakanda is a remote kingdom possessing technology that surpasses all other technologies in the world. “Black Panther” (2018) and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” (2022) told the stories of T’Challa, who inherited the throne of Wakanda, and Shuri and the other “Black Panthers” who succeeded him after his death. “Eyes of Wakanda” is an action-adventure that traces the country’s history and uncovers its hidden secrets.

The mission assigned to the Wakandan warriors, who also engage in espionage activities around the world, is to recover a vibranium treasure that has been stolen secretly. Vibranium is a mineral found only in Wakanda, boasting greater hardness and strength than diamonds.

Mined from a meteorite that fell to Earth long ago, vibranium can absorb shocks and has played an essential role in the stories of the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), being used in Captain America’s shield and Black Panther’s suit.

The trailer shows Wakandan warriors running around the world, and at the end, a warrior resembling Black Panther appears, yelling the familiar roar of “Wakanda Forever!” (Editorial Department, Irikura Koichi)
