Inspired by this illustration, when the creator group “supercell” released the original song’s video on Nico Nico Douga, the number of views of the video increased in a blink of an eye, and the character’s popularity also increased. Since then, it has been developed in various media such as figures, games (PSP), and TV anime broadcasting, and has become a worldwide famous work.
Furthermore, in the fall of 2021, the new animation project “Black Rock Shooter DAWN FALL” will be exclusively distributed on terrestrial TV animation broadcasting and the video distribution service Disney Plus in the spring of 2022. Its popularity has not declined yet.
