This work was serialized in “Monthly Afternoon” (published by Kodansha) in 2011, and in 2012, Tetsuya Imai has also selected as a candidate for the “Nebula Award”, the science fiction award with the longest history in Japan.

Triggered by that encounter, the curtain rises on the children’s top-secret mission.

From the trailer, you can get a glimpse of the sad story between Yuma and Nanako, in which Nanako’s personality disappears when “February Dawn” is returned to space.

The unknown adventures of Yuma and the other children and their promises are vividly reflected in “When”. Miura, who sang the theme song, said, “The song ‘Itsushika’ is partly linked to the story of the work, and I think it’s a painful, warm, and powerful song that evokes memories of childhood. I’m sure there will be moments when the fragments of everyone’s memories resonate with this song and the work.”

In the key visual, Yuma, Nanako, Shingo Kishi (voiced by Fujiwara), Ginnosuke Tadokoro (voiced by Okamoto), and Hanaka Kawai look up at the starry sky, along with the phrase “On that day, the future we’ve been waiting for began.” (CV: Minase). The result is a finish in which you can feel the determination and exhilaration of returning “February Dawn” to space.

A movie ticket (1,500 yen including tax) has been on sale since August 26, and a calendar for 2049, which is the stage of the story, will be presented as a bonus (limited quantity). The comments (full text) from Miura and Kanji Ogo, the music producer, are as follows.

When I received the offer and read the work, I felt that I liked not only the spectacle of the universe but also the unique atmosphere that combines with everyday life. Nao’ymt, who wrote the lyrics and music for the song, also likes space, and we were talking about wanting to create a space-themed work together. It came true this time.

The song “Itsushika” is partly linked to the story of the work, and I think it’s a heartrending, warm, and powerful song that evokes childhood memories.

There will surely be a moment when the fragments of your memories resonate with this song and the work. Please watch ” Bokura no Yoake ” on a big screen together with the song “Atsushika” with your loved ones.

I feel that Daichi Miura is an artist with magnificence, expressiveness, and a powerful singing voice that matches the image of the “universe” that is the subject of his work. . Also, this work is a story that spans two generations, a parent and child, so I thought that Mr. Miura’s fresh and resounding singing voice would be widely accepted by adults and children alike. For that reason, I made an offer to have Mr. Miura sing the theme song.
