Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the broadcast! New visuals for the anime ‘Animal Yokocho’ will be released sequentially from December 15th

The TV anime “Animal Yokocho,” based on the original work by Maekawa Ryo, will begin streaming on various streaming platforms in Japan from December 15. Furthermore, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the series’ first broadcast, a new logo and key visual have been released.

“Animal Yokocho” aired on TV Tokyo from October 4, 2005, to September 26, 2006, with a total of 51 episodes. The story follows the daily life of kindergartener Ami and the mysterious animals who come through a door in her room that connects to Animal Yokocho.

The original work is serialized in Ribon (Shueisha), and 25 volumes have been published so far. The anime stars Erika as Ami, Shishido Rumi as the rabbit Iyo, Sato Yuko as the panda Issa, Nagasawa Nanako as the bear Kenta, and Horiuchi Kenyu as the mysterious thoroughbred Yamanami-san.

The general directors are Nishimoto Yukio and Nam Jongsik, Furukawa Hiroshi writes the story, and Gallop and Doyu Animation produce the animation.
