This anime is based on the manga of the same name by Uo Yutaka. The manga won numerous awards, including the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize.
It was serialized in Weekly Big Comic Spirits (Shogakukan) from 2020 to 2024. Set in 15th century Europe, an era when the geocentric theory was considered the truth of the world and researching or even believing anything that overturned that theory was considered a serious crime, the story depicts the people who risked their beliefs and their lives to believe in and prove the possibility of the heliocentric theory.

Yolenta chooses a sad ending to protect the “heliocentric theory.” Meanwhile, Schmidt and his comrades safely reunite at the organization’s headquarters. Thus, the book “On the Movement of the Earth” is finally completed through letterpress printing. However, the plan falls apart due to a specific person’s actions. Novak finds out the location of the hideout. Should they fight to the death or retreat and prepare for the time being? As they are forced to make the ultimate choice, Duraka makes a suggestion.
