Creepy Nuts ‘ “Mirage” is a global viral hit following “Otonoke” and ” Bling-Bang-Bang-Born “! Creepy Nuts has released an anime collaboration music video for their new song, “Mirage.” “Mirage” was written as the opening theme for the currently airing TV anime “Yofukashi no Uta Season 2.”

The collaboration music video is centered around footage from “Yofukashi no Uta Season 2,” synchronizing the characters’ emotions and nighttime scenes with the fantastical and emotional sound of “Mirage.” Since its release on July 4, “Mirage” has been streamed over 10 million times worldwide and debuted at number one on Billboard JAPAN’s “Global Japan Songs Excl. Japan” (a ranking of Japanese hits worldwide excluding Japan).

This marks their third number-one song. This marks the first time in the chart’s history that Creepy Nuts have had three songs reach No. 1, further confirming their global presence. Additionally, “Mirage” is currently ranked in the Top 50 on Spotify’s Global Viral Chart, rapidly gaining popularity among listeners overseas, including the UK, Germany, France, and South Africa, making it a global viral hit following “Otonoke” and “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born.” Additionally, the anime single “Mirage / Nemure,” which includes the ending theme “Nemure,” will be released on CD on September 10.

In addition to the instrumental track, the single will also include the non-credit opening and ending movies from the TV anime. Like “Daten,” the album features a special cover art by the original author, Kotoyama. Creepy Nuts won a total of nine awards at the MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2025 held in June 2025. In July, five of their signature songs surpassed 100 million cumulative streams, according to Billboard JAPAN. Furthermore, he has achieved record-breaking success in both music and anime, winning the Best Anime Song and Best Opening Awards at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025 for “Otonoke,” the theme song for the anime “Dandadan.”

R-Shitei ‘s Comment on “Mirage” Season 1 depicted the dry gentleness of the night and its role as a refuge for those saved there. In contrast, Season 2 portrays the dampness of the night and its role as a place to dump lingering attachments and regrets. And it depicts the adults struggling to come to terms with it. As someone who’s been staying up late for 20 years, I can’t help but feel that this is something that concerns me… I’ve been living for the morning and the day, and I know I need to cut it off, but I’ve been dragging on.

This song depicts my corrupted relationship with the night. “Sleep.” Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved the night, but somehow I hated going to bed at 9 o’clock. “Sleep” begins with this line: “I loved the night, but I hated going to bed at 9 o’clock.” Now, having children of my own, I finally understand why adults tried to get us to bed at 9 o’clock. It’s not something that can be taught so easily, something that is both fun and dangerous.

No, it’s not something that can be taught or given, but something that you have to sneak away from adults and snatch for yourself. That’s what nights and music were like for me. Until that time comes, I’ll keep them all to myself for a while longer.
